I make the complex simple, the important accessible, and the strategic stuff absolutely gorgeous.
Hello
The work I’m known for is graphic recording (or sometimes referred to as graphic facilitation, scribing, or live illustration). I capture conversations and ideas in real time through illustration and design. But what actually makes my work different is the design part. Most people in this field are artists who draw fast. I'm a graphic designer who also happens to be an artist - and that distinction matters enormously in the output. Every piece I create has intentional hierarchy, considered balance of content, illustration and space, and a clarity of navigation that means the work doesn't just look impressive in the room. It functions.
Whether I'm working with pens and pastels on large-scale paper hung on a wall, or entirely within my iPad, the standard is the same: accessible, gorgeous and genuinely useful to the people in that room and long after they leave it. You’ll find it’s more expertly curated content, rather than frantic doodling!
When I’m not scribing, you'll find me in my studio working on strategic illustrations, making animations, immersed in a creative direction project or…let's be honest, reorganising my pencil collection.

"Working with Kate was a joy. She approached the panel session with curiosity and her insights led to a better preparation and experience for all. When we met on the day it was like greeting an old friend, we knew what to expect, Kate was switched on, attentive to the rhythm of the event and her artwork for the scribe of the conversation elevated the important discussion to an incredible level."
- Lee Papworth, The Inclusion Foundation

"I just wanted to reach out and express my heartfelt thanks for your incredible work this week. I’ve had so many people come up to me and share how blown away they were by your presence and the work you did. Last night at our Executive dinner, a number of the speakers were talking about how amazed they were at how you captured the essence of their message in a way that they will reflect on and are very keen to share with their teams. You truly elevated the experience for everyone.

"Kate is an attentive listener, who is able to grasp the intricacies of business issues and represent them visually with flair and creativity. Her graphic scribes and visual models help to document the richness of our client conversations and their strategic intent. In essence, she is a superstar at making the complex simple! Kate is completely at ease working with clients across a range of industries, hierarchies, and geographies, and supports facilitators readily with her astute observations of facilitation techniques based on her years of global experience in group collaboration dynamics."

"The work Kate has done will be fantastic in reminding people what we did. I have had many people share feedback on how great it was not to be stuck wordsmithing a vision or death by PowerPoint! They loved watching Kate capture the conversations and felt that helped hold their attention during the long day together."
- Kirsten Shelly, Melbourne Water

"In preparing for our events, Kate shares her thoughts in a constructive manner and builds on ideas with creative suggestions. Nothing is too much to ask, she is always willing to help and demonstrates the utmost level of professionalism In that sense, a true support to me as facilitator, both in process and content. Her work delivers 'pieces of art', which evolve in front of your eyes, creating excitement & amazement."
