Whether it's a narrative story, a strategic framework, or a visual tool for your teams and customers, every piece is built to work as hard as it looks good.

Not every communication challenge happens in a room. Sometimes the complexity lives in a report that nobody reads, a strategy that isn't landing with your team, or a process that makes perfect sense in your head but loses everyone else along the way.

This is where strategic illustration and design comes in. Working from your brief - or developing one together - I take everything you need to communicate and shape it into something clear, purposeful and genuinely beautiful. Something your audience will actually engage with, understand, and be proud to share.

In a world increasingly saturated with digital content and AI-generated imagery, human illustration has never been more valuable. Our visual literacy is sharper than ever — people recognise AI imagery instantly, and research shows it actually reduces engagement and trust. A hand-crafted illustration signals care, intention and authenticity in a way no algorithm can replicate. Every piece is built around the same belief: complex things deserve to be beautiful, and beautiful things must be accessible to everyone.

  • The considered creative process, built with care

    Every project is different, but my process is designed to make sure the work we create together is exactly what you need — and exactly what you're proud to share. From our first conversation to final delivery, here's how it works:

    1. SAY HELLO

    We'll talk online, by phone, or in person — whatever works for you. I'll ask about your objectives, who's in the room, the type of session (keynote, panel, workshop with breakouts, open group conversations), and logistics like room setup and which medium you'd prefer. This is a great moment to start thinking about what outputs you need to best achieve your outcomes – individual scribes per speaker to share in detail, a synthesised overview one-pager for the board or social media assets to share with community members?

  • 2. Let's make it official

    I'll recap our conversation in writing and send through a detailed quote for review. Once you're happy, we'll lock it in! I'll ask you to share your branding guidelines and any content or reference material when you're ready, so I can get started on the right foot.

  • 3. Concept & First Draft

    This is where the thinking happens. Before exploring initial ideas, I’ll share a moodboard that we willuse to align on the tone and style of the work (playful or serious, hand-drawn or slick and vector stylle).

    While you’re reviewing the moodboard, I'll work up a first draft — exploring the best way to structure, visualise and communicate your content. You'll receive the first draft for review with notes explaining the creative decisions behind it.

  • 4. Refine & Second Draft

    Based on your feedback, I'll refine the work into a second draft in line with the moodboard choices made.

    This is the stage where we fine-tune the details - adjusting content, hierarchy, colour and illustration until it's feeling right.

  • 5. Final Version & SIgn-off

    Once you're happy with the second draft, I'll produce the final version — polished, proofed and ready to go.

    We'll agree on file formats and delivery method ahead of this stage so everything lands exactly as you need it.

  • 6. Ta-dah!

    Your files are delivered in the agreed formats — print-ready, screen-optimised, or both. Everything is yours. I'll check in to make sure you have everything you need and that it's all working as expected.

  • 7. In your hands

    The work is yours now. You have ten working days from the agreed project deadline to request minor text amendments — just in case anything needs a small update after review. And I'm always happy to debrief, gather feedback, or chat about what comes next.
